Hi everyone. I’m an international news correspondent who spends a lot of his time travelling around the world for news events. I’ve reported from more than 60 countries on all kinds of things, from the frontlines of war in Ukraine, Syria and Gaza to the Oscars in California - my job is pretty varied! I just got back from the papal conclave at Vatican City. I live in london with my husband Alex and our dog Nigel. I enjoy training and I spend quite a lot of time exercising and trying new workouts that I can fit in while on the road. And I read a lot. In fact I just wrote a book, called The Inherited Mind, which is about the genetics of mental illness.
So I figured I’d share with you on here what I’m doing and seeing as I go. Some of it professional, some of it personal. I’d love to hear from you about what resonates most, and what you’d like to hear more about. I’ve been keeping a work journal over the years, so I thought I’d post a few of those memories from the road occasionally too. You’ll mostly see written accounts of what I’ve been doing, but I’ll post the odd video too. Looking forward to sharing more with you!
Glad to have found this site. I always enjoy your reporting style & presence on ABC. Do keep posting, James.
Your book is so meaningful and useful. I am grateful for your vulnerability and detail. I look forward to your posts here.
